Dr. Juan Meng, Ph. D.
Juan Meng, Ph. D., (pronounced Dren) is Assistant Professor of Advertising and Public Relations in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. Previously, she was on the faculty at the University of Dayton and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Meng teaches a range of public relations courses including principles, writing, management, and campaigns as well as international and social media courses. Dr. Meng has extensive experience in global outreach, exchange, and education programs. She also conducts extensive research into strategic leadership from an international perspective.
Dr. Meng is originally from China. She received her B.S. from Fudan University (Shanghai). She earned her advanced degrees in the United States; M.A. from Bowling Green State University, and both M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Alabama. Prior to moving to the United States, she practiced communication in Shanghai for a few years, including being a journalist and editor at Shanghai TV Network, a correspondent at Xinhua News Agency (Shanghai Bureau), a media relations specialist in Shanghai Media Group (SMG), as well as other strategic communication and marketing consulting services for various organizations.
